CUTATEST 1 A - MPG tested Measurement and treatment device for EAP and BFD

The Cutatest 1 A electro acupuncture device can basically be used for electro acupuncture (EAP) and bio­electronic function diagnosis (BED). Depending on which accessories are used, simple conductance measurements, four-pole measurements, search for acupuncture points and point measurements are possible, as well as medication and allergy testing.

In the treatment mode, the device is suitable for electric stimulation treatment (TENS). This makes it possible to apply a stimulatory current of a defined quality in the form of positive, negative and inverted, serrated impulses with variable intensity. It can be used to stimulate skin surfaces or acupuncture points.

As a further support for the user and to simplify his or her day-to-day work, a software program has been developed, that makes it possible to combine the device with a computer and to take advantage of the latest PC technology.

Clearly laid out control panel and convenient to operate

The Akutest program can be run either using a mouse or the function keys. On the left side of the screen there is room for pictures with the graphic representation of acupuncture points and any pertinent texts. On the right is located the “measurement instrument” in the form of a bar indicator with a scale. The remaining surface contains the “function field” for menu texts and other kinds of indications.

The user receives help in searching acupuncture points. Eor this purpose, acupuncture pictures with points, indications and recommended medication is available, as well as search functions, which make it possible to find pictures and points more quickly.

 

Patient file

An extensive patient file is available to enter personal data, measurement data, observations, etc.

Acoustical support of the point search

Optionally, a tone searcher can be used to make it easier to search the points.

Conductance measurement (hand-hand measurement)

Every diagnosis begins with measuring the conductance, which delivers initial information on the patient's overall condition.

Measurement series

For this there are bar graphs available with the following selection criteria: first value, second value, maximum, increase in cross-lines per second. In addition, measurement series can be selected by date.

Evaluating measurement routines

Measurements can be displayed as a bar diagram; this makes it easier for the therapist to evaluate them. It is also possible to print out the data desired.

 

Automatic four-pole skin surface conductance measurement

The conductance values between the four sectors of the body are measured, in order to provide the patient's energy status. Automatic measurement with parallel indication on the screen when the four-pole measurement is installed on the device.

Data storage and processing

Data storage and processing, evaluation of data with displayed results.

 

Exporting and importing measurement data

Measurement data can be exported or imported on diskettes. The data can be later viewed and processed on another PC, if required.

Flexible and individually adjustable software

Akutest is an open software system, which the user can individually expand (setting new points, changing point positions, working on point texts, eliminating points, including recommendations for medications, defining or changing meridians, editing icon designations, bracketing pictures out of the list of active pictures, preparing copies of graphic presentations, and much more). In this way the user can bring his or her whole experience to bear and adjust the system according to his or her own needs.

Tooth voltage measurement

In a measurement, the FDI tooth arrangement is automatically displayed on the screen along with inserted tables for entering the measurement results.

Extensive Accessories

The device is delivered in a shock-protected aluminum case, and because of its small size (width: 254 mm x height: 110 mm x depth: 256 mm) its light weight (3.2 kg) makes it very portable for easy use on site at the patient’s home. The extensive accessories can also fit in this case.

Hardware requirements

The hardware requirements for the Akutest software program have been deliberately kept low. Even with a 386 computer with 33 MHz and approximately 2 MB RAM, hard drive, serial interface, color monitor and mouse, you can take full advantage of the program’s features.
