The Liver

Lycopodium
This is the best tolerated liver remedy. As a rule liver remedies tend to be poorly tolerated.

Legapas
This is the most powerful liver remedy, it can in some cases cause diarrhoea as it contains Cascara. It is poorly tolerated but is certainly worthwhile giving in order to clear out the bile ducts.

Hepar-Pasc
This is an excellent remedy for liver prophylactic therapy and toxic damage.

The Pancreas

Phaseolus
This is the best tolerated pancreatic remedy. It is principally a lymphatic remedy for the pancreas and is commonly used in children.

Pascopancreat S
This is a powerful pancreatic remedy and contains pancreatic enzymes. It is generally well tolerated but not quite as well tolerated as Phaseolus.

Carbo Veg
This is particularly useful where a pancreatic disturbance is associated with wind in the stomach or an upset stomach.

The Kidney

Cantharis
This is the best tolerated and most effective kidney remedy. This is a classical drainage remedy.

Juniperus
This is the most powerful kidney remedy and is used in situations where vigorous drainage is essential (ie when there is a lot of toxicity about).

Clematis
This is useful in cases where there is chronic cystitis or urethritis. It is also useful in enuresis.

Solidago
This is useful in cases of cystitis.

The Lymphatic System

Belladonna
This is an excellent lymphatic remedy for the appendix.

Pascoleucyn
This stimulates the immune system and is very useful in infections of all sorts and in any situation where the immune system is below par. Under no circumstances use Pascoleucyn if an auto-immune condition is present as it may well worsen it.

Lymphdiaral
This is an excellent lymphatic remedy and is useful in all cases of lymphatic stasis. Lymphdiaral is also available as an ointment and should be used on the local lymph glands to where the problem is, the skin around the area should be massaged towards the local lymph glands. The massaging alone can help the lymph to get moving.

The Stomach

Nux Vomica
This is useful in acidic gastritis.

Amara drops
This is useful to mop up toxins.

The Lungs

Yerba Santa
This is useful in asthma.

Drosera
This is useful for expectoration from the lungs.

Hyoscyamus
This is useful in the suppression of cough and in chronic bronchitis.

Endocrines

Millefolium
This is useful for uterine bleeding disorders.

Pascofemin
This is again a useful female endocrine remedy.

Sepia
This is useful in uterine prolapse and in any condition where there is weakness of the pelvic floor.

The Heart

Rytmopasc
These are useful heart remedies and can be used rather like a mild cardiac glycoside.

Crataepas 100
Strengthens the heart and improves contractile force.

Peripheral Circulatory Problems

Brachiapas
This is a useful peripheral circulatory remedy.

Ruta
This is a useful remedy in patients who have had strokes.

Secale
This is another useful peripheral circulatory remedy, particularly useful if there is nocturnal brachial paraesthesiae. It is also useful in some cases of dysmenorrhoea.

Sinuses

Kalium chlor. I & II
This is the most useful remedy for the sinuses.

The Colon

Markalakt powder
This is a useful dysbiosis remedy for children.

Dysbiosan
This is the most useful dysbiosis remedy as it contains acidophilus. It can cause diarrhoea as it also contains Cascara. It should not be given to yeast-sensitive patients.

Bacterial Replacement Preparations

A number of these preparations are available and the ones we use most commonly are: Hylak Plus, Symbioflor I and II and Prosymbioflor, Ecologic 316.

The Symbioflor remedies are relatively expensive but can produce very pleasing results in dysbiosis. In severe dysbiosis the use of Ozovit helps a lot in clearing out the bowel.

Prostate

Two prostate remedies are available: Populus and Pascosabal, which are both useful.

Rheumatic Diseases

Berberis
This is the most universally applicable rheumatic complex homoeopathic remedy.

Ledum
This is a useful remedy in rheumatism and gout in particular.

Colchicum
Again this is a useful remedy in rheumatism, and should be considered in any case of gout.
